Why The Scrapbooker?

The Scrapbooker began because one avid scrapper (that’s me) got tired of no photo-safe, acid-free, scrapbooking supplies in Israel.

According to the Hobby Industry Association, in 2003, the scrapbooking segment of the craft industry was estimated to be a multi-billion dollar industry, made up of a few thousand mom-and-pop retail stores and a couple of big chains.  However, not one retail store or art supply chain anywhere in this country carries an entire line of scrapbooking supplies in Israel.  While a random item or two can be found in various hobby and art shops, they’re either generic or over priced.

Thus, The Scrapbooker — a scrapper’s local store for scrapbook supplies in Israel.

Gone are the days a scrapbooker has to “stock up” on supplies while in the US for a visit. Or, purchase scrapbooking supplies online and shipping them to a friend or relative who will bring them over on their next visit.
