Well, yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and since I live in Israel and Saturday is the day we rest (which includes no writing, cutting or pasting allowed), I was unable to participate. I placated myself with the thought that it was National Scrapbooking Day and not INTERnational Scrapbooking Day. But that was hardly solace for a woman with the scrappin’ bug. I wanted to participate, I really did. So, instead, I read some of my recent issues of scrapbooking magazines. A lot fun… until the kids started to demand my attention. (Of course, kids are always more fun than scrappin’!)
Anyway, I’m gearing up for Mother’s Day, instead. I figure, a nice original card from a daughter 10,000 miles away who lives in a country that doesn’t celebrate Mother’s Day is pretty cool. I did a little site surfing to find some inspiration, some ideas, some way of incorporating a family photo into my card without it taking over entirely and didn’t come up with much. I guess I’ll just have to use my own imagination.
However, I did find these awesome card and layout ideas at Scrapbooks, Etc. Really nice stuff. Their images and ideas always spark inspiration in me to create my own thing. Check them out.
Happy Scrappin’!
