Finally! I snapped the pics last month and now I’ve scrapped the pages, recharged the batteries to my camera and took pics of my ”masterpiece” (ahem). Wanna see what I did with those great pics of my daughter’s first day of elementary school? I’m soooo proud of myself. I really like this layout. It took a little while to complete since I was struggling with the design a bit, but I’m super-duper happy with the end result.

I really like the tearing effect and the flower punches from patterned paper underneath the title. It was bland without the punches.. too much solid going on. The layout needed texture and that’s what the tearing and punches did for it.
A couple of brads, some ribbon and a chipboard title all contributed to the “texture” of this layout. I’m working hard at keeping my pages from looking flat. It’s not always easy.
I’d love to see some other first day of school layouts. Hope you’ll share!
