As an avid scrapbooker, I never really took the time to notice that there’s a lot more a person can do with all the tools and supplies used for creating a beautiful layout. I just cropped away at my album pics and designed something I thought I could brag about. (That’s usually my technique.)
However, not long ago, a fellow scrapper/friend said to me that as a retailer of scrapbooker supplies (Check out my online store if you want), I should be also pushing paper crafts to widen my market. At first, I thought the idea a bit silly… I mean, why would I want to do anything but scrap a page?
Then it hit me (just yesterday, in fact), that if scrappin’ is so much fun, I’ll bet using my supplies and tools for other paper crafts is a lot of fun too! So, I immediately went online and began checking out the amazing things that can be done with paper, stickers, cutting tools and templates… and I had a blast. I’m just dying to try out some of the ideas.
For instance, I found the coolest site with ideas for homemade gifts. While I love shopping for gifts at the store, the gift box pattern was AWESOME! Check it out here! Using various patterned papers makes every box original. I’m making one of these today!
I also found a great site for making greeting cards. It’s true… I have heard of cardmaking using my wonderful talents and skills learned from scrappin’, but for whatever reason I just never did it. After checking out some of the designs out there, I was simply flabberghasted by the creativity involved in making a card. With these great ideas, I can’t wait!
And take a look at a few of these off-the-wall ideas that put your supplies to use. I love my Google search!
Happy Scrappin’!
